How to change IGNOU study centre online

IGNOU change of LSC is a simple process that does not require hard work. The most common issues in the LSC are not a program centre (the course you have selected is not available in this college) or a long distance from your home.

I will not suggest that you apply the change option in offline mode.

This tutorial will show you how to change the IGNOU study centre.

Log on to the Student portal
Open the students’ dashboard
Click on the services
Select change study centre
Choose the college as per your choice from the list
Click on Submit button

You will receive a Request Id. Sometimes, it takes a minimum of 15 days to update the data. Once the application gets approved, you will receive a change request confirmation letter to your address.

Note: If you change college from ABC to XYZ, and your assignment records are pending, you will get into trouble. It happens maximum, and I recommend you don’t change until they upload previous assignment marks.

You can try another method, but I will not recommend it to you because it takes more time.

How to change the IGNOU study centre offline

Visit your regional office, collect and fill out the change of study centre form, attach an IGNOU ID card colour print, submit it to the regional office. It depends on the situation. Sometimes management uploads within 50 days.

My experience in IGNOU regional office in Kolkata

When I went to Bikash Bhawan in 2013, nine years ago, one of my friends faced trouble with the BED entrance exam and was unaware of the application criteria. I recommend him to visit.

You can’t believe the office was overcrowded. We waited to collect the IGNOU prospectus, and we got it. But when my friend tried to ask a question, they told us everything is written on the prospectus and notice board you can check.

We were thinking about why the staff of IGNOU RC was not providing information, but after 10 minutes of waiting, we saw over 100 students standing in the queue. How could they support everyone in a short time?

However, a staff of RC office helped us. Now, this university is providing digital support. We have an online admission option. So we don’t require standing in a queue to get admission details.
